Autumn lights

27. September 2020

On September 22nd 2020, the astronomical autumn on the Northern hemisphere has begun. As evidenced by lights, which occur in middle-latitudes near equinoxes. Speech is about zodiacal light. Its brightness could be compared to the winter part of the Milky Way, which we see in the photo. During good conditions, we can observe this light just before dawn, even with the zodiacal bridge “connecting” two planets. As a faint glow over the Eastern horizon, crossing the bright planet Venus, approaching to the other bright planet – Mars. With the sensitive camera – more details as the airglow and hydrogen nebulas appeared. The photo has been captured at the Kolonica observatory – Slovakia (Dark Sky Park Poloniny)
