Cygnus over High Tatras

15. March 2023

A well-known group of bright stars forms a beautiful constellation called the Cygnus. The brightest – Deneb is surrounded by emission nebulae glowing red. There are also two other bright stars in the picture – Vega and Altair, which together with the star Deneb form the Summer Triangle asterism. But don’t let the name mislead you, the photo was taken in December just a few days before Christmas in the High Tatras near the Zbojnícká hut at temperatures around -15°C.

Photographed on Canon R6 and Sigma 50mm.
