And something beautiful was here. Something bigger, than we can even imagine.

The tiny woman standing on the dune, waving, and saying goodbye to a great comet of the Year 2020. The comet Neowise. Now it’s weaker every day and it’s harder to visible even in the dark sky and impossible to observe from cities and light-polluted areas. But the story of the comet started very unexpectedly. It should be just a faint comet invisible by the naked eye and after approaching the closest point to the Sun, astronomers were really surprised. Every night sky and photography enthusiasts began to be curious and silently waited for results. After the first days in the early July morning sky, the observers were really excited. Neowise was visible in the morning sky even from big cities! As it approached the night sky, we had an opportunity to enjoy all of its beauty, generally out of light sources, where the long and beautiful tails appeared. After that, the comet began to visibly expand in the sky and as You can easily see, it was much bigger than Big Dipper asterism, even with the naked eye. Therefore the ion tail was a few million kilometers long! Comet was at its closest point to the Earth. Now, she is preparing for her very long journey across the Solar system. Scientists expect that comet will reach perihelion again after up to 6.800 years… Such a long time, indeed. As a Czech artist Jaromir Nohavica sang: ” When she will return back, we won’t be here.” Maybe she will meet some people here, but maybe there will be no one.

Something beautiful connected people together and delayed a lot of all-day worries. And I’m truly glad that I was also a part of its greatest show.
