222nd

22. February 2022

On today’s special date – 22.2.2022 I decided to share with you my 222nd photo in order. Not that I planned it that way, it turned out by chance. When I look back, there is a lot of work, travel, and work behind the computer. You know it. But also a number of unforgettable experiences with the night sky and celestial events. So I decided to choose the photo of cosmic “fireworks” to celebrate the jubilee. The 222nd photo comes from August 2021 – from Crete, Greece, and captures the Perseids meteor shower. In addition to the meteors themselves, the Milky Way, the colorful airglow, Jupiter, Saturn, and the zodiacal light, you can also see the beauty of the local beaches, where the clear sand blend in with the turquoise water. Watching the Perseids and swimming in the sea in the middle of the night was an experience I want to enjoy once again. One day.
