What does it look like when the first stars appear on the red planet? Well, maybe very similar to this picture. There is a lot of dust in the atmosphere of Mars that changes the appearance of the night sky itself. Something similar can be experienced every evening and morning during twilight in the southern hemisphere, where the dust from the eruption of Tonga volcano lies high in the air. This photo comes from San Pedro de Atacama, Chile, which is at almost the same latitude as the volcano. During each twilight, the sky is shrouded in blood-red, which in this case illuminated a landscape that resembles Mars on its own. You will also find dry old rivers here, similar to the Martian ones, where water used to flow in the past. In such a place, You could not have felt like on our neighboring planet.
